Minnesota adds 1,500 net jobs in August; 2nd-quarter state exports rise 14% from 2025

Minnesota added 1,500 jobs in August and the state unemployment rate ticked up one-tenth of a percentage point to 4.4%, according to data released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
